The company
The company I-COAL Sp. z o.o. was established in 23.03.2016 in Katowice and registered in National Court Register in 7.04.2016 with No. 0000611549 in Regional Court in Katowice Wschód, VIII Economic Department of National Court Register. I-COAL Sp. z o.o. gained status of the Pośredniczącego Podmiotu Węglowego (coal trader) confirmed by the Head of the Customs Office in Katowice in 31.05.2016.
The main activity
The main activity is the gross sales of fuels and the derived products which means the import and the sales of the anthracite and coal into the markets of Poland, Germany, Czech, Slovakia. Despite short business period I-COAL Sp. z o.o. started regular deliveries to some of the top important clients in Poland in soda category, to calcium & cement producers, ironworks and the steam & heat producers.
Cooperatation
I-COAL Sp. z o.o. co-operates with several mining companies in Russia and with cargo transport companies in Russia and Ukraine. On this basis I-COAL Sp. z o.o. is able to offer the top quality material, in parameters’ range of the agreed specification. I-COAL Sp. z o.o. do not offer anthracite and coal from the areas beyond the control of the Ukrainian authorities.
The co-operation with current clients refers to the regular deliveries of the certain grain size of the anthracite and the coal. I-COAL Sp. z o.o. offers complex import services, customs clearance, all documentation preparation and issuing – the client receives the material with VAT invoice and the certificate of quality sampled at the loading station.
Quality certificate
Some of the clients expect the additional quality certificate issued by one of the external independant laboratories. This additional quality sampling is done during the wagons’ unloading, according to the standards of sampling followed by these laboratories.
Our team
We care about the successful development of the co-operation, with special attention to quality of material and the proper standard of the delivery logistics. Our team is focused to maintain the appriopriate level of communication with the client. There is dedicated single employee to handle single client. Also this person takes actions when any element of the supply chain do not work properly: at the moment of reloading, final transport management, preparation for quality testing, carieers’ service level.

Anthracite
The anthracite is the ideal fuel for the various industries: chemical industry, steel works and soda production. It is the natural and cheaper alternative to coke. The anthracite is remarked with high caloric value, low sulphur levels and low volatile levels. The anthraciite is available in different fractions (grain sizes). The most of clients look for the grain size of 25-80mm. There are available also bigger grain sizes, over 100mm. The exact specification of anthracite is the output of the negotiations with the client. Our business partners place the order with delivery by trucks (when this delivery option is open) and by train.
Coal
We offer energy (steam) coal for the professional electricity production, for the heating units and for the steam production units supplying the next-door factories. The most frequent grain size is 0-25mm with caloric value of min. 23 GJ/t, besides there are higher caloric values available. We have in our offer coal in different specification, with different composition of caloric value, sulphur, ash, moisture. We also offer, for the local distributors, the coal in grain size of 50-200mm. The exact specification of the delivered coal is the outcome of the contract with the client. The typical single unit of delivery is the train set of the size 1500t or 2400t.
We deliver the anthracite and coal
I-COAL Sp. z o.o. deliver the anthracite and coal through the following cross-borders:
- Braniewio – at the border with Russian Federation,
- Sokółka – at the border with Belarus,
- Brest/Małaszewicze – at the border with Belarus,
- Izov/Hrubieszów – at the border with Ukraine.
Re-loading operations
There are re-loading operations at the terminals in Braniewo, Sokółka and Brest/Małaszewicze. This means re-loading of material into european wagons or at the storage area. The trainsets passing Izov/Hrubieszów station go towards the unloading stations located next to the LHS line. The LHS line from UA/PL border to the final station in Sławków Południowy is wide-sized (1520mm). There are unloading, re-loading and storaging operations at the last LHS’s >station in Sławków Południowy.
The reloading options are as following:
- wagon – wagon (from "wide-size" wagons into EA wagons)
- wagon – truck,
- wagon – storaging area.
On client’s request we deliver to appointed terminal (DAT) or to the client’s factory or storage location (DDP).
We provide
- customs clearance, preparation and filling all necessary import documents,
- logistic service – transport management including location of the client’s reception point and the delivery at client’s factory,
- quality sampling of anthracite and the coal by the independent laboratory,
- we offer additional services – for example storaging, screening.
I-COAL Sp. z o.o. have dedicated anthracite and coal storage location in Małaszewicze and Sławków Południowy.
